He co-founded Spyglass Entertainment in 1998 alongside Roger Birnbaum, producing acclaimed films such as The Sixth Sense, Seabiscuit, and Memoirs of a Geisha. Barber later served as Chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) from 2010 to 2018, overseeing successful projects like Skyfall and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. After his tenure at MGM, he re-established Spyglass Media Group, continuing his impact on film production.
